Inspiration basics

When I'm searching for inspiration, I'm always drawn to:

1. colors

2. textures

3. composition

The images above are good examples of lovely color and texture combinations.

When I make new illustrations or paintings, I first look at these colors to determine my color palette. Textures are a great source of inspiration for making brush strokes or compositions dynamic and balanced.
