My name is Tinneke De Block, founder of Atelier Tinika*, and illustrator based in Belgium.
My work is defined by sensitive brush or charcoal strokes, while the female body is a fundamental inspiration.
My goal is to capture feminine strength, sensuality, vulnerability, and aesthetics.
I live with my husband and little daughter in Belgium. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been drawing every chance I can get (even all over the attic staircase). Back then, I already knew I wanted to do something creative.
After I got my degree in graphic design and settled down, I went right back to the one thing I really loved: illustration. In 2010, I created my first blog to share my passion. Later on - in 2015 - I decided to offer services, like murals, customized paintings, and illustrations.
I regularly exhibit at art markets and manage my own social media. This resulted in great projects such as the international marketing illustrations for Babylonia, a T-shirt collection with Helder, the sustainable fashion label, and tailor-made paintings for shops and interiors.
In my online shop, you can buy handmade stationery, original paintings, and art prints. My products are also available at Belgunique, an online platform for Belgian designers and creatives.
Leave me a message if you have any questions or would like to work together.
*Why the name Atelier Tinika? Tinika comes from my nickname, while I was working with some Englishmen. Since my audience is more global, I opted for an easier pronunciation.
